Gatorade

One of the first products TCK re-engineered was Gatorade. This is a crowd pleaser and, yes, thirst quencher. Make it red or make it green. Make it de-caf or fuel it with caffeine. It’s bold without petroleum-derived dyes. It’s flavorful without all the unknown, proprietary ingredients. How refreshing!

Why did you cross out the ingredient of apple juice??

      Hi Sky.

We crossed out apple juice because we decided the extra sugar was not necessary – in terms of taste as well as nutritional value. The addition of the citrus, particularly oranges, more than does the trick.

The recipe is very malleable – you can pretty much add small amounts of any juice you want – pineapple would be good, grapefruit too! The idea is to stick to fruits containing electrolytes so the drink functions as a Gatorade replacement.
